Pig & Fiddle Football

ok ok, not so much of a show, more like one of Rich Green's local am-dram productions starring that bloke who once appeared in Casualty (no joke, one of us who is very tanned did actually appear in Casualty, the tv series that is!)

Had to write something given the looks Big John has been giving me the last couple of weeks! Reckon we've been a bit unlucky in the first few games of the season. Played pretty well in patches and ended up with nothing ... Bristol City and Booyas are top of the league as well, so shows we're not far off. And given that we are the Pig, which means there will always be some 'drama' to deal with before a game (no kit, no players, no team sheet, no clear heads, no Meg to record all the great passes we put together on the day she wasn't there), not too bad a showing in the first three games. Big test this weekend against high flying opposition in the cup ... maybe with a bit of consistency and the improvement that will come with getting used to playing with each other (in a football way), we may start to see some results go our way ...
